deadRingers Gaming presents.. SEVEN DAYS
Server address: seven.rust.deadringers.net
Player slots: 300
Map size: ~4500
Reboots: 01:00-01:05 CST/CDT every day
Map wipes: 13:00-13:20 CST/CDT every Thursday
Blueprint (BP) wipes: 13:00-13:20 CST/CDT the 1st Thursday of every month
F7 is our preferred method of being engaged, but you can alternatively say !admin followed by a brief message in chat if you want (note: chat is public). For a list of chat commands, say !cmd in chat
Our goals:
- A mostly vanilla official type of experience -- minimal changes and no mods/plugins (just an external RCON tool to help us administrate)
- Every seven day period starting from the 1st Thursday of every month is a new battle in an escalating war. As each battle concludes, players retain what they've learned (BPs) from one battle to the next until the final battle of that month's war. Then it starts all over again, allowing everyone a chance to start on a level playing field each month or letting players sort of select their difficulty by deciding how far behind they want to start from everyone else
- Balanced fights are encouraged by limiting the amount of players per team to 3. Treaties between neighbors and brief alliances for shared goals are acceptable, but zergs are not. If a zerg pops up, it'd be entertaining to see brief alliances form to take it down, but otherwise admins can intervene
- A safe gaming environment that aligns with the tenets of the Game in Peace movement (gameinpeace.org). Some banter and competitive provocation is tolerable, but bullying, harassment, and discrimination are not
Future plans:
- Discord server
- Recognition for players that help us achieve our goals
- Recognition, maybe including prizes, for the teams (including solos) that achieve the most each week and month, including an all time leaderboard
- While we don't currently plan to concern ourselves with offline raiders given the wipe frequency, situational justification for offline raiding, and what methods are available to players for proactively preparing for offline raids, it's still in the back of our minds as something that takes away from the competitiveness of the game
